Since January, 2007 I have been engaged as a Ph.D. student by the Immunoregulation group at the German Rheumatism Research Center (DRFZ) in Berlin. The group is headed by Dr. Simon Fillatreau, who is also the supervisor on the Ph.D. project.

Currently the repertoire of the T-cell receptor involved in experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis - a mouse model for multiple sclerosis - is being investigated. The main focus is on the regulatory and non-regulatory subsets of the CD4+ cells. T-cell maturation in general, as well as the concept of positive-negative selection also receives attention.
